Your Idyllwild Climbing Experience

A typical full-day climb on Tahquitz or Suicide Rock includes approach hiking, multi-pitch climbing, summit experiences, and rappelling descents. Plan for 6-8 hours of adventure.

  • We meet downtown Idyllwild, in front of the Pure Bean Coffee shop. Then drive up to Humber Park where we approach the climbs. Plan for 30-45 minute hike to the climbing areas.

    Americas first 5.9 established by Royal Robbins and Don Wilson in 1952 using hemp ropes and tennis shoes! This is the gold standard for 5.9 crack climbing.

    Slightly shorter routes featuring excellent friction climbing, spectacular valley views, and approachable moderate lines.
