Senior Climbing Course

This class is tailored for the older crowd curious about rock climbing. Maybe you’ve seen it on TV or social media and thought, “I could never do that.” While climbing is often portrayed as an extreme sport, beginners start with easy terrain and baby steps. You don’t need extreme strength—just basic fitness. If you can hike on uneven ground, you can climb! It’s like solving puzzles with your body and mind, offering a meditative and invigorating experience. Plus, top-rope climbing is safer than activities like cycling or pickleball. If you’re seeking a fun, social, and mentally stimulating outdoor activity, give it a try!

Classes generally meet at 8 a.m. and generally last until approximately 4 p.m.
Location: Joshua Tree National Park

Disclaimer: If only one climber is booked for a course, we will reschedule or offer the option of a private half-day session. Please note that this course is open to the general public.
